Looking into the eyes of the ancient shíshálh chiefs: using modern technology to bring the past to life.
Dr. Terry Clark (Canadian Museum of History)
The ongoing re-development of the Canadian Museum of History’s permanent gallery is a perfect opportunity to bring not only Aboriginal voice, but also the faces of ancient Aboriginal people to life. Working in close collaboration with the shíshálh Nation, some of the most important prehistoric burials in Canada will be facially reconstructed to show visitors the faces of chiefs who lived over 4000 years ago. This paper will be co-authored with one or more members of the shíshálh Nation.
